Tones Air Dry Flesh Hi-Lite Tone
Here is a
standard for your Reborn Paint Palette. I blended this to
closely resemble the lightest of human caucasian make-up tones so
baby's features will look natural and matte. All Baby Tones
paints have hand-mixed colors and are enhanced
with mediums to make them work well on the reborn soft
vinyl dolls.
Flesh
Base Hi-Lite is actually the first color you would apply
for reborning a caucasian baby. I suggest you follow these
steps in creating a caucasian baby flesh foundation
layer.

Step
One: Line inside of limbs and face with
bright purple felt - Use a tacky glue adhesive to adhere felt
to inside of face and limbs. We do not recommend
painting the insides of soft vinyl reborn doll
parts.
Step Two: Plan Out
and Paint Your Detailed Veining - Make a very subtle and
soft beginnint and ending to your veins and not too
squiggly. Feather and blot your veinwork so it will
appear faint and natural.
Step
Three: Use round pouncer or cosmetic
wedge and apply the Flesh Hi-Lite Tone all over doll -
- dab/pounce paint on doll so it dries to resemble
tiny pores. Avoid nail beds, lips, palms, and any place
you want skin to appear smooth.
Step Four:
Make a First Blush Foundation layer by pouncing the Blush
Undertone paint on baby. Do not apply any of the tones
in thick painted layers, it will not look as
natural.
Step Five: You will use the Flesh
Hi-Lite Tone again by creating a Mixed layer of the Flesh
HiLite and the Flesh Base Tone... pounce colors on
separtely. Do not blend them before applying, this will
render a natural mottled flesh appearance on baby
doll. |
These
Paint Mediums dry enough for a second coat in approx 20
min and are Permanently
Dry in about a Day!
